Services

Our modern facilities and equipment allow us to offer your pet the best healthcare possible

Preventative Healthcare

We recommend that dogs, cats and rabbits have annual vaccinations to protect them against the common diseases we see across these species.

Dogs are vaccinated for Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus and Leptospirosis. We can also vaccinate for Kennel Cough.

Cats are vaccinated for Feline Calicivirus, Herpes Virus, Panleucopenia and Feline Leukaemia Virus.

Rabbits are vaccinated for Myxomatosis and viral haemorrhagic disease (VHD). We are able to offer the new vaccination for VHD 2 which has only been recently seen in the UK.

As part of their annual booster vaccination our vets will give your pet a full health check to keep on top of any health concerns you may have. This is all included as part of the Pet Health Club membership.

Home Visits

We understand that at times getting to the surgery may be difficult or upsetting. This can be particularly the case during end of life appointments.

Where possible, we are happy to visit you and your pet at home.

There are additional fees for this service and we ask that you give us at least 24 hours notice when possible in order for us to arrange our day. Home visits are usually carried out between 11am and 3pm and as often as possible both a vet and nurse will come to your home.

There are many situations where we will suggest that arranging for your pet to be brought into the surgery will enable better care and treatment – especially true if we feel that your pet may need investigations such as blood tests or hospitalisation. When calling to discuss a home visit please give our reception team as much information as possible in order for us to best help you and your pet.

Medication Checks and Reviews

Many pets will, at some point in their life, require medication that is long-term or lifelong. We are able to dispense repeat prescriptions for many medications which you can order easily online:

Order your medication

All patients on long term medication will need regular checkups, just as you may have with your doctor. Depending on the nature of the condition and type of medication this is usually every 3-6 months for stable patients.

For patients who have just begun a treatment it is likely these checks will be more frequent until your vet is happy that we have stabilised the condition.

Some medications will require monitoring blood tests or blood pressure checks. For certain medications such as those used to treat epilepsy the blood tests will need to be at a specific time of day – it is important to check this when booking your appointment.

Our vets are also able to complete written prescriptions for use with online pharmacies – please let a member of our team know if you would like to know more about this service.

For any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us and speak to one of our staff.
